this page exists because joi is my girlfriend and she is, objectively, awesome. i wanted a little corner of the internet dedicated to saying so out loud, since the internet is mostly used for less important things.

some of the reasons joi rules:

she is kind in the quiet, unshowy way that actually counts
she laughs at my jokes, including the bad ones (maybe especially those)
she is smart about people in a way i am not, and she shares
she puts up with my homelab, my rabbit-hole projects, and my tendency to explain them at length
she makes ordinary days feel like they mean something
she is beautiful, and somehow does not seem to know it
she is the person i want to tell things to first
