this book is full of fantastic twists, which i won't spoil. it starts off a little slow, but really picks up, and i had trouble putting it down in the second half. the world building is the usual capitalism bad, and much of it was very on the nose. some of the characters behaved unbelievably. it was an enjoyable read, but i don't think i'd recommend it.

i've tried to watch this movie like 5 times, and i always fall asleep at the boring opening. but that boring opening was my favorite part of the book. the writing made me feel connected to my primal roots. and then the sci-fi was fantastic as well. and the esoteric occult ending had me up late turning pages to see how it ended. i understand and agree with this tale's reverence as one of the greatest of all time. i would recommend to any sci-fi fan.

this was a fantastic book that I picked up with the intention of easing my way back into bedtime reading with something light and fun, but I found it so compelling that I powered through it in 3 days. it's a cute book about a young hacker man who learns how do real magic, but get's in trouble in modern times so he goes back in time to medieval Europe. i really quite enjoyed it
